Martyn Cavallo, MD, President
Dr. Cavallo has been with Anesthesia Medical Group (AMG) since 1999 and was elected President of the growing organization in 2012. Dr. Cavallo specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesia. Prior to AMG he was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Vanderbilt University from 1996 to 1999. Dr. Cavallo received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed an internship, residency and cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Jeff Beierlein, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Beierlein brings more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience to his new role at PhyMed, most recently serving as the regional operations director for DaVita Healthcare Partners in Tennessee and Kentucky. In his former role, Beierlein directed and led regional operations for multiple dialysis clinics and helped those organizations improve clinical outcomes, increase financial performance, exceed labor productivity objectives and expand their presence in additional distinct markets.
Beierlein holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point Military Academy. He earned a Bronze Star and Air Medal in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Tammy Myers, Director of Operations
Ms. Myers is responsible for the daily operations of PhyMed’s Nashville-based anesthesia practice (AMG). Myers has been with the company since 1994, most recently serving as the Director of Integration following seven years as Chief Financial Officer. She has deep experience working in various capacities within the organization including accounting, payroll, benefits, revenue cycle management, and administration. Prior to joining AMG, she worked for eight years in the accounting department of Practice Management Group, P.C., a multi-specialty management firm. Ms. Myers is a graduate of David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
